WellSpan Health in York, PA seeks a Nocturnist APRN/PA to provide overnight inpatient care in a high-volume hospital setting. Night shifts run 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

PRN coverage supports PTO, CME, and staffing needs. Eligible candidates include AGACNPs or PAs with at least 1 year of inpatient hospital medicine or acute care experience. Join a collaborative hospital medicine team focused on delivering high-quality patient care and coordinated discharge planning while supporting cross-coverage

Qualifications

• At least 1 year inpatient hospital medicine or acute care APP experience.
• Provide comprehensive inpatient care including assessments, admissions, discharge coordination.
• Night shift: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., PRN for PTO, CME, and staffing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient assessments, manage medications and discharges.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, case management and ancillary services.
• Work in a high-volume overnight unit (~73 patients) with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Title: Nocturnist

What You’ll Champion:

• PRN Advanced Practice Provider opportunity supporting open nocturnist shifts at WellSpan Surgery & Rehabilitation Hospital (WSRH), providing flexible night coverage as needed for PTO, CME, and staffing needs.
• Night shift hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. with opportunities to work alongside an experienced and collaborative hospital medicine team.
• Seeking Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (AGACNPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) with a minimum of one (1) year of inpatient, hospital medicine, acute care, or critical care APP experience required.
• Deliver comprehensive inpatient care, including patient assessments, admissions, cross-coverage, medication management, discharge coordination, and clinical decision-making.
• Participate in rapid response and code support, collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, case management, and ancillary services throughout the hospital.
• Practice in a high-volume inpatient environment, helping manage approximately 73 patients overnight in partnership with a multidisciplinary team.
