WellSpan Health invites applications for an Advanced Practice Professional serving in the ED Observation Unit in York, PA. The role involves clinical oversight of a 10–12 bed unit with 12–18 hour monitoring and care coordination, requiring 3–5 years of inpatient hospitalist experience.

Ideal candidates work independently in a fast-paced hospital setting with rapid turnover and discharges for low-acuity patients.

• Experience working independently in a fast-paced hospital medicine environment with rapid turnover, admissions and discharges for low-acuity patients.
• Ability to provide coverage for ED holds and ED Observation (EDOP) patients.

Job Title: Advanced Practice Professional

Location: York, PA

What You’ll Champion:

• Provide clinical oversight for a 10–12 bed ED Observation Unit, delivering 12–18-hour monitoring and care coordination
• Seeking experienced hospitalist APP (AGACNP or Physician Assistant) with 3–5 years of inpatient experience; ideal candidates thrive working independently in a fast-paced hospital medicine environment with rapid patient turnover, admissions, and discharges for low-acuity patients
• Support hospital operations and patient flow by providing coverage for ED holds and ED Observation (EDOP) patients
• Flexible 7-on / 7-off hospitalist schedule (Thursday–Wednesday) with 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
