Job summary

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group seeks a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA-C) to join our Gastroenterology team at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago and our Joliet location. This inpatient-focused role offers a balanced schedule, no call requirements, and a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold NP or PA-C license in Illinois.
• 1+ year GI or inpatient medicine experience preferred.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Proficient in EMR (Epic is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive GI care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Perform initial assessments, inpatient consults, and follow-ups; inpatient and outpatient management.
• Assist with GI procedures and ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with attending gastroenterologists to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive GI care alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians and support staff.


• Conduct initial assessments, follow-ups, and manage inpatient consults and outpatient follow-up visits.


• Assist with procedures and ensure continuity of care.


• Collaborate closely with attending gastroenterologists to optimize patient outcomes.


• Participate in care coordination, documentation, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in Illinois.


• Strongly preferred: 1+ year of experience in Gastroenterology or inpatient medicine.


• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.


• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive medical team.


• EMR proficiency (experience with Epic is a plus).

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $125,000-$140,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
