Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join the inpatient GI team at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL. This hospitalist role features a 7-on/7-off schedule and a collaborative, physician-led environment.

The APP will assess and manage inpatients with acute and chronic GI conditions, perform rounds, coordinate care, and support a growing GI program with a strong emphasis on high-quality patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Current or eligible state licensure
• Minimum of one year of Gastroenterology, Hospital Medicine, Critical Care, or related inpatient experience preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care

Responsibilities

• Conduct inpatient GI consultations and follow-up evaluations
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as appropriate
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies and laboratory results
• Coordinate procedures, transitions of care, and discharge planning
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care

The APP will work collaboratively with gastroenterologists, hospitalists, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams to manage inpatient consults, coordinate care, and support a growing GI service line within a physician-led healthcare system.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $125,000-$140,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
