Job summary

SSM Health St. Charles is seeking a full-time Cardiology Electrophysiology (EP) Physician Assistant to join an established EP team.

You will support inpatient and outpatient care, clinic sessions, and hospital rounds, collaborating closely with EP physicians to deliver comprehensive electrophysiology services. The role emphasizes a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional weekend coverage and weekend stipends.

Qualifications

• Experience in cardiology or cardiac electrophysiology preferred.
• ECG interpretation skills and device management knowledge.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with physicians.
• Graduation from an accredited PA program.
• Current PA-C certification in good standing.
• Missouri PA licensure eligibility or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient EP care with EP physicians.
• Support weekly EP inpatient consults and patient rounding.
• Deliver 2–3 half-day EP clinic sessions weekly with follow-ups.
• Coordinate testing, referrals, and follow-up care across sites.
• Round at multiple SSM Health hospitals when not in clinic.
• Maintain Mon–Fri schedule with occasional weekend coverage and stipend.

Our cardiology team, located on the campus of SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - St. Charles is growing and we are adding a full-time Cardiology Electrophysiology (EP) Physician Assistant. Job Details:

• Improve patient access, continuity of care, and EP service coverage across inpatient and outpatient settings in St. Charles County.
• Enjoy a dynamic mix of outpatient clinics, inpatient consults and hospital rounding responsibilities.
• Support weekly inpatient EP consults and patient rounding in collaboration with the EP physician
• Provide comprehensive outpatient electrophysiology care during 2-3, half-day clinic sessions each week, including established patient follow-ups, post-procedure management, and hospital follow-up visits.
• Round at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital- St. Charles, SSM Health DePaul Hospital, SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital and SSM Health St. Clare Hospital when not covering the clinic.
• Enjoy a predictable Monday-Friday schedule, with one weekend per month dedicated to supporting the EP physician with hospital rounding and continuity of care. Additional stipend provided for weekend coverage.
• Coordinate testing, procedures, referrals, and follow-up care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior experience in cardiology or cardiac electrophysiology is strongly preferred, including ECG interpretation skills and device management knowledge.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with physicians.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program.
• Current certification as an PA-C.
• Possession of, or eligibility for, Missouri PA licensure.
