Endeavor Health's Evanston Hospital seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) to deliver critical care in the ICU. You will collaborate with intensivists, perform comprehensive assessments, order diagnostics, and manage treatment plans for acutely ill patients.

Qualifications

• Must hold IL Advanced Practice Licensure (APN or PA).
• Graduate from an accredited PA or APN program (MS/MPH/DNP options acceptable).
• Active BLS/ACLS; DEA and state controlled substances licenses required.

• Provide care to ICU patients under physician supervision.
• Perform history, exams, orders, and interpret results in the ICU setting.
• Prescribe therapies and manage patient plans across acute/chronic illness.

**Position Highlights*** Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) – Critical Care/ICU* Location: Evanston Hospital, Evanston, IL* Full-Time (average 40 hours per week)* Hours: Monday-Friday between 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 10: 00 p.m.; occasional 6:45 a.m. - 6:45 p.m.; rotating weekends and holidays required. No overnights or call.* Required Travel: Glenview, Highland Park, and Skokie Hospitals. Travel to all NorthShore sites during orientation and occasionally for cross-coverage afterwards will be required.* Inpatient role **Job Description** **Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health Department of Critical Care**! Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provides care to patients. Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follows patients through their course of treatment in the clinic and hospital setting. Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrates evidence-based practice. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum. Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease. Promotes wellness and prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities. Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promoting high-quality patient experience. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization.
