Endeavor Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) in the Neurosciences Department for a Neuro-Hospitalist and Neuro Critical Care setting at NCH Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL. The role requires licensure in IL, DEA, and active BLS/CPR certification, with prior neurology or critical care experience.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week with 12-hour shifts and weekend rotation; compensation aligns with expertise, with a pay range of $57.76–$80.86 per hour.

Qualifications

• Advanced Practice Licensure (APN/PA) in IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance license required
• Master’s level program in specialty area completed
• BLS/CPR certification required
• Prior APN/PA experience in Neurology and/or Critical Care required

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of collaborating physicians, provides care to patients with history taking, examinations, orders, imaging and interpretation
• Instructs patients on therapies and pre/post operative instructions; maintains records and progress notes
• Collaborates with physicians and health care team to achieve optimal outcomes; prescribes therapies as appropriate
• Engages in interdisciplinary teams, promotes wellness and preventive care, and contributes to quality and safety initiatives
• Adheres to Endeavor Health policies and participates in service line goals

Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in theNeurosciences Department in both a Neuro-Hospitalist setting and Neuro Critical Care setting.Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provides care to patients. Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follows patients through their course of treatment in the clinic and hospital setting. Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrates evidence-based practice. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum. Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease. Promotes wellness and prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities. Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.

• License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required


• Education: Completion of master’s level program in specialty area


• Certification: BLS/CPR certification required


• Experience: Prior APN/PA experience in Neurology and/or Critical Care required
