West Coast Kidney Institute is actively seeking Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join its nationwide renal care team. The roles focus on dialysis unit patient care, collaboration with physicians, and occasional clinic panels, with hospital rounds alongside nephrologists.

The positions require licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or PA, with a strong background in cardiology, internal medicine, ER, Med/Surg, or ICU.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current board certification.
• Strong background in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, ER, Med/Surg, or ICU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Capture dialysis unit patients (billed under the physician).
• Collaborate with physicians to alternate care; may manage own clinic panel.
• Hospital rounding with attending Nephrologist.

Job description

Although previous nephrology experience is preferred, APP candidates must have a strong background in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Emergency Room, MedSurg, or ICU. The ideal candidate will be ready to learn and hit the ground running in this high-demand group!

Competitive Hiring Package:

• Hiring range of $72-$82/hr., depending on experience
• 1 week of CME per year – CME registration, travel, and lodging covered by practice

Schedule/Practice Details:

• No weekend or call coverage is expected
• Responsible for capturing dialysis unit patients (billed under the physician)
• May have their own panel of clinic patients, but the majority will be collaborating with physicians to alternate care
• Hospital-rounding will be with attending Nephrologist

Qualifications:

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Competencies in advanced health assessment, physical examination, diagnosis, planning, and managing care including pharmacotherapeutics.
• Provide nursingexpertisein diagnosis and treatment to prevent, remediate, or alleviate illness and promote health,thus,resulting in improved patient outcomes.
• Knowledge of patient assessment techniquesincludingtaking medical histories, performing physicals, evaluating health status including state of wellness, and compliance with care recommendations.
• Knowledge of diagnosing and treating medical problems and developing care plans.
• Knowledge of medical records documentation in a confidential manner.
