Qualifications

• Active Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire.
• Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice prior to or within 6 months of hire.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant.
• Experience: No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage treatment plans appropriate for patient age and clinical condition.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies and prescribe therapies.
• Provide health promotion, disease prevention and disease management counseling for patients and families.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team; seek consultant referrals as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and compliant coding/billing practices.
• Facilitate coordinated care and clear communication among healthcare team and community agencies.
• Perform office or hospital procedures as privileges allow.
• Participate in quality, safety and peer-review initiatives and organizational meetings.
• Onboard new team members, students, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain productivity, access, and quality metrics to ensure timely patient care.
