Job summary

SMG System Medical Group in Triadelphia, West Virginia seeks an Advanced Practice Professional to join its interdisciplinary team. The APP will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients within scope of practice, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to deliver evidence-based care.

The position requires a Master’s in Nursing from a CCNE-accredited program, national APRN certification, WV licensure, BLS and ALS/ACLS training as needed, and experience in acute care,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from CCNE-accredited program.
• National APRN certification.
• Current WV RN/APRN licensure or eligibility.
• BLS required with ALS/ACLS training as department discretion.

Responsibilities

• Administers or orders diagnostic tests (e.g., x-ray, point-of-care labs).
• Examines patients to obtain information about their condition.
• Instructs and counsels patients about prescribed regimens and health maintenance.
• Makes diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patients.
• Obtains and records patient data using the Meditech EMR.
• Performs therapeutic procedures (injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care).
• Prescribes therapy or medication (electronically when available).
• Educates and coordinates with medical assistants during care and treatment.
• Provides emergency support following established policies and procedures.
• Communicates with staff and medical staff to support operations.
