Job summary

Stormont-Vail HealthCare, Inc. seeks an APRN/NP to partner with attending staff in directing patient care across clinical areas. You will perform comprehensive assessments, order testing, and contribute to care plans consistent with Stormont Vail policies and state law.

The role requires active KS RN licensure and APRN certification with NP designation; PA licensure may be required in some settings. This position supports flexible day shifts in a patient-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse in KS required; APRN licensure and national certification as a nurse practitioner required.
• Physician Assistant licensure (KSBHA) may be required depending on department.
• Maintain RN competencies as designated by federal and state regulators.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the work of the APP with attending medical staff to meet unit, hospital and system goals.
• Perform complete physical exams and record findings; review patient histories and orders.
• Order labs, radiology and diagnostic tests appropriate for patient condition.
• Prescribe medications within Kansas Nurse Practice Act and supervising physician delegated authority.
• Provide patient/family care guidance, discharge planning and referrals as needed.
