Responsibilities

• Functions independently and with physicians to provide continuous care.
• Obtains complete medical history and physical data.
• Interprets data to determine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Performs physical exams and records findings.
• Orders lab tests and manages care plans.
• Provides patient education and counseling.
• Maintains patient records and confidentiality.
• Prescribes within nurse practitioner or physician assistant scope.
