Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a credentialed CRNP or PA to deliver specialty and chronic care in physician offices and non-acute settings. The role includes 1–2 days of travel weekly to satellite offices, potential telehealth, and rotational on-call coverage.

You will develop therapeutic plans, order and interpret tests, educate patients, and document comprehensively in the EMR to support care and billing while maintaining ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree MSN from the practicing State Board of Nursing Approved Master's Program and National Board Certification as NP.
• Practicing-state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner; prescriptive authority within 60 days of hire.
• CPR certification; background clearances within required timeframes (Act 34/33, FBI).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including recording history, physical assessment, developing therapeutic plan, ordering tests, interpreting results, discharge planning, and accurate EMR documentation.
• Communicate with attending physician regarding plan of care and involve physician in decisions outside NP scope.
• Make medical diagnoses and institute appropriate therapy within scope and standards of practice.
• Order and interpret laboratory, radiology, and diagnostic tests to guide treatment.
• Educate patients and families about health, illness prevention, medications, and follow-up resources.
• Ensure timely and accurate EMR documentation to support coding and billing; report pertinent information.
• Maintain continuing education and participate in safety, quality, and patient engagement initiatives.
