Qualifikationen

• Master's degree MSN from the practicing State Board of Nursing Approved Master's Program
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through an accredited association
• Practicing-state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner

Aufgaben

• Provides appropriate patient care including recording medical history and physical assessment, developing therapeutic care plans, ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting results, discharge planning and documentation in the EMR.
• Communicates with attending physician regarding plan of care and involves physician in clinical decisions outside the CRNP's scope.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates labs, radiology, and diagnostics to determine and implement treatment plans.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family, provides education and teaches health maintenance and prevention strategies.
• Ensures accurate EMR documentation to support coding and billing and communicates findings to the attending physician.
• Maintains ongoing professional development, participates in patient safety and quality initiatives, and adheres to organizational mission and specialty privileges.
