Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a qualified CRNP to join the care delivery team in a physician office/non-acute setting, focusing on chronic conditions. The role includes 2 days/week of 10-hour shifts (07:00-17:30), Monday through Friday with no weekends or on-call.

You will perform history, exams, care planning, orders, and EMR documentation in collaboration with physicians. Required MSN, National NP certification, and active NP licensure; prescriptive authority; CPR; background clearances.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing (MSN) from state-approved program.
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners.
• Active and practicing state NP licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including history, physical assessment, care planning, orders, discharge planning, and documentation.
• Communicate with attending physician regarding plan of care and collaborate on clinical decisions.
• Make medical diagnoses and institute therapy within the applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies to guide treatment.
• Educate patients and families about health, medications, and prevention.
• Ensure accurate EMR documentation to support coding and billing, and report pertinent information to the physician of record.
• Participate in safety, quality improvement, and continuing education initiatives.
