Job summary

Carriage Services is seeking an Advanced Planning Counselor - Outside Sales Representative to help families plan pre-need funeral and cemetery arrangements. You will work remotely from various locations, meet client families, and generate leads while representing the company with integrity.

The role emphasizes commission-based compensation, eight weeks of paid training, and significant earning potential through sales. A life insurance license or the ability to obtain one is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience.
• Bi-lingual (English; other languages a plus) is a plus.
• Possession of or ability to obtain an insurance license as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Meets with client families on a pre-need basis to present options for funeral and cremation services and related merchandise.
• Works independently away from the location to solicit new leads and sales opportunities.
• Creates and pursues sales opportunities away from the location with minimal supervision.
• Spends minimal time at the office while developing professional relationships with client families.
• Represents the company in a caring, professional manner and adheres to pricing structures and paperwork deadlines.
• Develops new prospects through cold calling, referrals, seminars, and community contacts.
• Maintains proactive communication with all departments to ensure smooth service for families.
