Responsibilities

• The technician assists pharmacists in accurately and aseptically preparing, filling, compounding, labeling and dispensing medications including IV meds.
• Filling and distributing controlled substances per policy and procedure.
• Aides in the smooth workflow by moving between work areas and supporting pharmacy operations.
• Maintains daily reports and stock inventories; fills exchange carts and ensures the fill area is stocked.
• Distributes medications to patient care areas by established procedures and keeps work areas clean and organized.
• Performs monthly floor checks and files department documents and medication orders.
