Job summary

CVS Health in Texas is offering a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern program where you apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a licensed pharmacist. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap with KLEs and gain hands-on experience across store, district, and regional operations.

You will assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately, while learning to provide empathetic patient care and compliant service in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited college/school of pharmacy required or actively enrolled.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining intern/technician licensure as required.
• Regular attendance including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately.
• Follow SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists and technicians manage patient health.
• Counsel patients and field medical questions when appropriate under supervision.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescribers as allowed by state law.
• Maintain inventory and perform basic counts, returns-to-stocks, and stocking duties.
• Support immunizations and other services where allowed by law and training.
