Job summary

CHOC in Orange, California seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner II (Advanced) to coordinate and manage care for a designated patient group in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, focusing on acute and critical pediatric patients.

Requires minimum two years of acute respiratory care, graduation from a 2-year respiratory therapy program; BLS, PALS, RRT, RCP-CA, ACLS; preferred pediatric/acute care and PFT experience; and successful completion of acute care and PFT training.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of clinical experience in acute respiratory care.
• Pediatric/acute care and PFT experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited two year Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Successful completion of an acute care and PFT training and competency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage care for a designated group of patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Meet clinical practice and assessment needs in acute and critical pediatric care.
