Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Advanced Patient Care Technician to join our acute rehab team. Under RN supervision you will perform advanced clinical tasks, support patient comfort, and help create a compassionate, safe environment.

You will observe, document, assist with daily living activities, and provide care such as phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and lab specimen collection.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• MO CNA or attend our 5 week PCT Essentials Training Program, combination of both in person classroom style and preceptorship

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team
• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds
• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly
• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate
