Research Medical Center in Kansas City is seeking a Patient Care Technician (Med Surg) to join a collaborative nursing team. You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on care and help create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You will assist with daily needs such as vital signs, mobility, and personal care while helping the team monitor conditions and carry out care plans. This role emphasizes empathy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Education in lieu of credential, or CNA certification, or certificate must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• Evidence of credentialing may be required for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keeping patient areas clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
