Job summary

SkyWater Technology is seeking a Process Engineering Technician Specialist to support Advanced Packaging Process Development. The role focuses on experiments, data collection, and reporting to engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a two-year technical degree or substantial technician experience in semiconductor fabrication, plus experience with data analysis and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree and/or 5+ years technician experience in semiconductor fabrication or similar environment.
• Working knowledge in materials characterization and analysis.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Clear problem-solving capability, data-driven, inventive solution oriented and able to articulate thought processes.
• Positive interpersonal skills, ability to influence others, energetic and self-motivated.
• Demonstrated ability to meet commitments, manage multiple projects, and deliver results.
• Willingness to work A Shift or C Shift as detailed in the job posting.
• US Citizenship required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform process support and monitoring with SPC charts.
• Assist qualification and validation of new processes or equipment.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain semiconductor tools (etchers, deposition, metrology).
• Collect process data and perform preliminary analysis; support root cause analysis.
• Assist engineers with experiments, run process trials, and prepare test wafers.
• Collaborate with process engineers, technicians and operators; communicate findings.
• Follow cleanroom protocols and comply with EH&S regulations.
