Job summary

SkyWater Technology in Florida is seeking a Process Development Engineer for the Advanced Packaging Lamination area. You will own, develop, and optimize Lamination processes, working with foundry customers and internal teams to deliver manufacturable, robust flows.

Strong emphasis on DOE, SPC, Six Sigma, and data-driven improvements, with opportunities to grow toward Project Management and impact MEMS/Photonic/backend-of-line device integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or STEM preferred; equivalent technical experience considered.
• 0-2 years of hands-on fab processing tool experience in semiconductor/packaging.
• MEMS/Photonic devices or backend-of-line knowledge a plus.
• Strong DOE, SPC, and Six Sigma concepts application.
• Project management skills or training beneficial.
• Clear, data-driven problem solving with strong communication.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead new process development, transfer, and integration in Lamination within manufacturing.
• Develop, optimize, and integrate manufacturable Lamination recipes for foundry customers.
• Provide technical ownership for the Lamination module, including stability and yield.
• Support process integration for advanced packaging, MEMS, Photonic, or backend-of-line flows.
• Utilize metrology/characterization tools to evaluate conditions and drive improvements.
• Investigate and implement process-flow changes to improve device performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with process and equipment engineers to identify marginalities and corrective actions.
• Monitor inline and end-of-line SPC charts and drive data-based corrective actions.
• Support improvement of electrical test parametrics through process modifications.
• Growth toward Project Management responsibilities.
