Job summary

Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies seeks a Molding Extrusion Technician II on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM) to independently maintain and improve injection molding and plastic extrusion equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and control systems, perform mold setup, and drive process improvements.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in direct plastic processing, and experience with mold design, tooling, and cleanroom/ GMP environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with injection molding and plastics processing.
• Exposure to plastic extrusion, mold design, and tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Familiarity with cleanroom environments and GMP expectations.
• Proven troubleshooting and repair skills on complex equipment.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs repairs and preventive maintenance on molding and extrusion equipment.
• Performs mold set-ups and mold insert changes.
• Executes extrusion line setup, startup, shutdown, and cleaning; implements process changes as needed.
• Maintains calibrations and ensures proper operation after service.
• Designs and builds tools/instruments for equipment maintenance; may supervise others.
• Coordinates with engineers and vendors; prepares maintenance documentation.
