Job summary

Astemo Ltd. is seeking an Assembly Operator to join our Georgia, USA production team. You will follow instructions, check dimensions with gauges, perform simple part changes, and keep a clean, safe 5S work area.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and, ideally, manufacturing experience in electronics or mechanical assembly. You must read and follow work orders, perform basic math, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a team to achieve production goals
  • Reading and following work orders; basic production reporting
  • Operate machines with manual dexterity and precision
  • Read gauges and indicators to check dimensions
  • Sufficient math skills for measurements and data input
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Maintain clean, organized work area per 5S
  • Comply with TS16949 and ISO14000 quality standards
  • Complete pre-employment assessments successfully

Responsibilities

  • Follow operator instruction sheets or verbal instructions
  • Check products and/or component dimensions with gauges
  • Change simple parts and fixtures for product changeovers
  • Visually and manually inspect product and workmanship
  • Input data daily to support charts and reports
  • Maintain 5S in all processes and areas
  • Comply with work instructions to manufacture products per standards
  • Suggest and implement continuous improvement programs
  • Communicate machine issues with support staff and coworkers
