Job summary

Astemo is seeking an Assembly Operator at our Monroe, GA plant to support high‑volume electronics/mechanical equipment assembly. You will follow instruction sheets, perform changeovers, inspect parts, and maintain quality while adhering to 5S and safety standards.

This full‑time position requires a high school diploma, ability to work as part of a team, basic math, good manual dexterity, and the strength to lift up to 40 pounds. Shifts are AM, Mon-Thu, 10 hours daily.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve production goals.
• Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
• Basic math skills.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly.
• Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts/products.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds frequently.
• Must have acceptable scores on pre-employment assessments.

Responsibilities

• Work according to operator instruction sheets and/or verbal instructions to effectively perform operations.
• Check products and/or component dimensions with indicators and gauges as described in procedures or work instructions.
• Change simple parts and fixtures to facilitate changeover of product types.
• Visually and manually check for defects in product or workmanship.
• Input data daily to maintain charts and reports for manufacturing, engineering, quality, material control, and sales.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area using the 5S policy in all processes and activities.
• Comply with work instructions to ensure products meet TS16949 and ISO14000, and customer quality standards.
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement programs.
• Communicate machine issues and failures with support staff and co-workers.
