Job summary

Astemo Ltd. is seeking an Assembly Operator at our Georgia facility to perform targeted assembly tasks on electronic/mechanical equipment. You will follow detailed operator instructions, check dimensions with gauges, and participate in changeovers and defect inspection to meet production goals.

The role requires basic math, good dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Emphasis on teamwork, safety, and adherence to TS16949/ISO14000 standards is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred in assembly or high-speed operation.
• Ability to work in a team to meet production goals (cycle time, takt time, scrap).
• Able to follow work orders and prepare simple production reports.
• Basic math skills.
• Manual dexterity to operate machines.
• Good visual acuity to read instructions and inspect parts.
• Frequent physical activity including lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Must pass pre-employment assessments.

Responsibilities

• Follow operator instruction sheets and verbal instructions to perform operations.
• Check dimensions using indicators and gauges per procedures.
• Change simple parts and fixtures for product changeovers.
• Visually and manually inspect for defects in product and workmanship.
• Input data daily to maintain charts and reports for quality, manufacturing, and sales.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area per 5S policy.
• Comply with work instructions to ensure products meet TS16949 and ISO14000 standards.
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement programs.
• Report machine issues to support staff and coworkers.
