Job summary

Cryogenic Industrial Solutions is seeking a Welder Level 2 to perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless components. You will read complex drawings, fabricate parts, and ensure welds meet tight tolerances.

This role covers a range of positions (flat to overhead) and requires 2+ years of experience, knowledge of ASME/AWS standards, and a strong understanding of metallurgy and heat-affected zones. Physical work in shop and field is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional welding experience.
• Proficient in MIG and TIG processes on carbon and stainless steel.
• Familiarity with ASME and AWS welding standards.
• Strong understanding of welding metallurgy and heat-affected zones.
• Physical requirements: lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for long durations.
• External and customer quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel to precise tolerances
• Read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings and weld symbols
• Perform welds in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)
• Conduct quality control checks, including dimensional verification and basic NDT preparation
• Assist in developing jigs, fixtures, and process improvements
• Maintain welder logs, repair records, and consumable usage documentation
