Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Salisbury VA Medical Center, seeks an Advanced Medical Laboratory Technician to join the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service.

The position rotates through chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and blood bank, and may require off-hours shifts and holidays based on service needs. The incumbent will perform high-complexity testing, ensure proper specimen handling, run quality control, calibrate instruments, and verify results in the

Qualifications

Advanced MLT generalist capable of rotating through chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and blood bank.
Independently performs high-complexity tests in advanced blood banking and molecular microbiology.
Maintains quality control and instrument calibration per protocols.

Responsibilities

Perform tests across multiple lab sections (chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, blood bank).
Independently calibrate, standardize and maintain instruments.
Generate and verify LIS laboratory results and communicate critical findings.
