Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Plastics Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical or related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
• 5+ years in materials development, materials engineering or advanced manufacturing, with polymers and metals.
• Experience in material selection, processing, characterization, and performance evaluation of polymers, plastics, metal alloys, coatings, and surface treatments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new materials and processes to support technology roadmap.
• Conduct lab and pilot-scale experiments to prototype emerging technologies.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for material-related issues.
• Support material characterization, reliability testing and benchmarking.
• Collaborate with Development, NPI, and other teams to address material challenges.
• Interface with suppliers and labs to assess new materials and processes.
• Document findings and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support technology transfer and scale-up to manufacturing.
