Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Auburn-based Advanced Manufacturing Technician to troubleshoot manufacturing processes and support production on a Mon-Thur night schedule. The role collaborates with manufacturing engineers to solve problems and implement improvements.

Strong PLC knowledge and leadership are essential, with emphasis on SOP development and safety participation. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience, plus the ability to work a 10-hour night shift

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC/control systems.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to work a 10-hour Mon-Thu night shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of manufacturing issues and root cause analysis.
• Bridge between production associates and process engineers.
• Act as primary defense for process and machine problems.
• Problem solve with minimal outside assistance.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for production processes.
• Train and sign off personnel on processes and equipment.
• Perform machine and process qualifications and validations.
• Apply knowledge of drawings, specs, and quality systems.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to cut costs and cycle times.
• Interface with OEMs and internal stakeholders to convey technical needs.
• Participate in EHS actions to improve safety.
