Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Rocky Mount, NC seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II to optimize and advance our manufacturing processes, focusing on productivity, quality, and cost reduction. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 2+ years of proven experience in advanced manufacturing engineering, process optimization, and lean principles.
• Experience with automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing is a plus.
• Knowledge of data analysis and SPC to drive process improvements.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, PFMEA/DFMEA, APQP tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Ensure safety regulations and industry standards compliance.
• Own process capability and control for welding, brazing, assembly of LVDTs and solenoids.
• Provide daily floor support to drive process adherence and robust handoffs across shifts.
• Analyze production data (FPY, Cp/Cpk, OEE, escapes) to identify systemic issues and lead RCCA.
• Apply PFMEA/DFMEA, control plans, MSA, SPC to prevent defects and reduce variation.
• Lead capacity improvement projects (layout, tooling, automation) for rate readiness and safety.
• Act as Special Process Owner for laser welding, welding, and brazing with NADCAP compliance.
• Engage customers/programs on technical topics and participate in cross-site technical forums.
