Responsibilities

• Proficiently performs basic to advanced screening, diagnostic, and invasive mammography examinations.
• Reviews patient’s medical record to obtain clinical information and breast health history.
• Performs scans and adapts techniques to improve diagnostic quality.
• Evaluates image quality, positioning, and compression; repeats images as needed.
• Post-processes images and labels with patient identifiers; informs radiologists with history.
• Maintains records in RIS and documents billing codes.
• Serves as a technical resource and preceptor for staff and students.
• Collaborates with other departments to educate on imaging procedures.
• Assists with patient positioning, lifting, and safe transfers.
• Ensures age-appropriate care and adheres to department policies.
