Job summary
UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a skilled EMS professional to administer pre-hospital and advanced life support care to critically ill or injured persons during transport to and from the Medical Center. You will assess and treat patients per local and UVA Health protocols, maintain safety, and collaborate with peers while pursuing ongoing professional development.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- No experience required; Advanced life support experience preferred.
- Virginia EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic license required; Paramedic preferred.
- Valid Virginia Driver's License and at least 2 years driving experience.
- AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required; ACLS; PALS and EVOC Level II+ within 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Administers pre-hospital and advanced life support care to critically ill or injured persons.
- Assesses and treats ill and injured patients per local and UVA Health protocols.
- Maintains safety as a primary responsibility during care and transportation.
- Identifies potential areas for improved care.
- Interfaces effectively with peers and customers and pursues professional development.
