Job summary

UVA Health's Medic V Team in Charlottesville seeks dedicated EMTs and AEMTs to deliver life‑saving care across Central Virginia. Based at 1205 Stoney Ridge Road, the team supports clinical operations by responding to emergencies and coordinating with hospital staff.

Minimum requirements include Virginia EMT certification, 2 years driving experience, and BLS; EVOC certification within 90 days. Pay ranges from $19.00 to $25.28 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
• Experience: None
• Licensure: Virginia Health Emergency Medical Technician; valid VA driver’s license with 2+ years driving; AHA Health Care Provider BLS; EVOC; released driver within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat ill and injured patients per UVA protocols.
• Maintain safety throughout care and transport.
• Identify opportunities for improved care.
• Collaborate with peers, patients, and healthcare teams.
• Ensure vehicles are cleaned, stocked, and ready after transports.
• Stay current with required certifications and continuing education.
