Job summary

GW Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) in Washington, DC, seeks an RN/NRP to provide Advanced Life Support within its EMS and prehospital program. The role operates independently or with a team, evaluates patients, administers treatment under standing orders, and documents care in an electronic medical record.

You will follow scene safety, protocol adherence, and contribute to training of less experienced staff while protecting patient safety and maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally and provide verbal feedback.
• Proficient with computer equipment and medical software.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to various work situations.
• Assess patient condition to determine appropriate care.
• Administer treatments under Paramedic scope using proper techniques.
• Document medical care in electronic medical records.
• Adhere to GW MFA policies and regulatory standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability.
• Ability to perform medication calculations.

Responsibilities

• Provide Advanced Life Support within the RN/NRP scope.
• Respond to EMS and pre-hospital emergencies.
• Assess and stabilize patients at the scene.
• Maintain scene safety and body substance isolation.
• Document care and outcomes in the EMR.
• Train and guide less experienced personnel as needed.
• Coordinate with medical teams and facilities.
• Follow standing orders for evaluation and treatment.
