Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Laboratory Support Technician (LST III) to join our provider care team in Arkansas. This role supports reports, data and scheduling functions within the laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely processing of specimens and related communications.

The LST III will assist technologists, perform limited testing as required, and handle specimen collection, processing, transport and referrals while upholding Mercy Service Standards and HIPAA privacy requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience required.
• Previous Mercy LST II designation or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support reports, data and scheduling functions of the laboratory.
• Acquire all required types of specimens using safe, accurate methods and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Process, transport and refer laboratory specimens and reports; assist technologists with testing as needed.
