Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Associates degree or HVAC certification preferred.
5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility.
Journeyman status accepted by union.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
OSHA 10 certification preferred.
Work visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

Service equipment by inspecting and testing systems—chillers, rooftop units, AHUs, and more.
Repair and replace defective components or wiring.
Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and callbacks.
Perform diagnostics, pipefitting, and brazing on commercial HVAC systems.
Conduct warranty service inspections and verify functionality.
Educate customers on proper use, maintenance schedules, and manuals.
Lead apprentices through rebuilds and retrofits of commercial units.
Record billing, inventory, timecards, and related reports.
Download programs into equipment and analyze chiller trend data.
Participate in regional training and off-site learning modules.
Maintain required certifications and develop new skills.
Uphold safety standards and keep a clean work area.
Complete jobsite hazard assessments before service and follow safety policies.
