Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified/board-eligible Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist for the Greater Austin Region. The role focuses on inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant care, with a strong LVAD/HTx component, and teaching opportunities for Cardiology Fellows.

The position supports Lakeway and Round Rock locations, with coverage in Temple as part of the program, and involves collaboration with a large, integrated heart

Qualifications

• Must be UNOS qualified for care of patients with cardiac transplants.
• Interest in education and research encouraged but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultation.
• Predominant time in Lakeway with coverage for Round Rock and Temple locations as described.
• Involvement in LVAD/HTx program with inpatient rounding and clinic duties; read ECHO for VAD/HTx and invasive procedures as available.
• Education of Cardiology Fellows and rotation on inpatient transplant service.
