Qualifications

• UNOS qualification for transplantation required.
• Texas medical license required.
• Fellowship trained in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiology.
• Strong interest in education and research encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultation.
• Duties include inpatient rounding and LVAD/HTx clinic involvement.
• Read ECHO for VAD/HTx and perform invasive procedures (RHC, implantable PA monitor, endomyocardial biopsies) when available.
• Participate in ACGME education of Cardiology Fellows and rotate on the transplant service at BSWH Round Rock and Temple locations.
