Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified/board-eligible Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist for the Temple region. Join a team of 8 HF specialists providing heart transplantation and VAD care with robust multidisciplinary support.

The role includes inpatient and outpatient consultations, potential teaching of fellows/residents, and rotating duties on the transplant service at Memorial Hospital in Temple. Academic appointment may be offered.

Qualifications

• Must be UNOS qualified for the care of patients with cardiac transplants.
• Interest in education and research encouraged.
• Provide coverage for transplant, inpatient and outpatient services.
• Call coverage 6–8 weeks/year in Temple location.
• Dedicated HF nurses and APP support.
• Opportunities to perform Cath lab procedures and read ECHO for VAD/heart transplant.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultation service.
• ACGME education of Cardiology Fellows and Internal Medicine Residents (optional).
• Rotate on inpatient cardiac transplant service at BSWH Memorial Hospital, Temple.
