Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified/eligible Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist for its expanding team serving the Greater Austin region. The role emphasizes inpatient and outpatient care across Lakeway and Round Rock, with a focus on LVAD/HTx, transplant service, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must be UNOS qualified for the care of patients with cardiac transplants.
• Fellowship training in advanced heart failure is required.
• Board certification or active pursuit of certification is required.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Texas where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultations.
• Predominant involvement with LVAD/HTx program and inpatient rounding.
• VAD/HTx clinic participation and echocardiography interpretation for VAD/Heart Transplant.
• Invasive procedures including right heart catheterization and endomyocardial biopsies.
• Educate trainees and participate in transplant service rotations at affiliated hospitals.
