Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure Transplant Cardiologist for the Greater Austin Region in Lakeway, Texas. You will join a team of specialists focusing on heart failure services, LVAD/HTx, and multidisciplinary care for Central Texas.

The role includes inpatient rounding, VAD/HTx clinic, and invasive procedures with dedicated HF nurses and APP support. The program emphasizes education, research, and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be UNOS qualified for the care of patients with cardiac transplants.
• Interest in education and research is encouraged, but not essential.
• Provide coverage for Transplant, inpatient and outpatient services.
• Predominant amount of time in Lakeway.
• Expected call 1:4 in Round Rock location (Recovery program)
• Expected call 6 weeks a year in Temple location (VAD/HTx program)

Responsibilities

• Duties include inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultation service.
• Additional responsibilities may include ACGME education of Cardiology Fellows and rotating service on the inpatient cardiac transplant service at BSWH Round Rock and BSWH Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas.
• Opportunity to perform Cath lab procedures and read ECHO for VAD and Heart Transplant.
