Job summary

The University of California, San Francisco Heart & Vascular Center’s Advanced Heart Failure Comprehensive Care Center seeks a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to treat mechanical circulatory support (MCS), heart transplant, and advanced heart failure patients, among others.

The APP serves as a primary provider in the hospital setting and will collaborate with the Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist, Cardiothoracic Surgery and ICU teams, along with nursing, case management, social

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years as a Nurse Practitioner in MCS, or Advanced Heart Failure.
• Minimum of 2 years managing mechanical circulatory support patients.
• 3 years critical care nursing experience managing all MCS devices (impella, ECMO, LVAD).

Responsibilities

• Provide primary hospital-based care for patients with MCS, heart transplant, and advanced heart failure.
• Collaborate with cardiology, surgery, ICU teams, nursing, case management and social work.
• Evaluate and manage complex patient care across ICU and acute care units.
