Job summary

LANXESS is seeking a Senior HSSE/PSM professional to oversee compliance and continuous improvement at the Woodbridge, NJ site. You will lead 24/7 PSM elements, drive incident investigations, audits, and regulatory interactions, and mentor leadership across Operations and Maintenance.

The role requires 5–10 years in HSSE within the chemical industry, strong leadership and communication skills, and solid knowledge of ISO 9001 and RC 14001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, and/or Safety Management.
• Ability to build successful relationships with regulators and with supervisor/management experience.
• 5 to 10 years of HSSE work experience in the chemical industry is required.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and RC 14001 preferred.
• Knowledge of NJ laws and regulations is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSSE compliance elements across Training, Contractor Safety, and Emergency Planning in a 24/7 operation plant.
• Support PSM compliance elements including PHA, MOC, Incident Investigation, Audits, Pre-startup Safety Review.
• Perform trend analysis and identify opportunities for HSSE improvement.
• Lead incident investigations and share learnings within HSSE.
• Ensure regulatory interfaces and site security meet LANXESS requirements.
