Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• EVOC training after employment/ promotion must be obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assess nature and extent of illness or injury to prioritize procedures and determine need for additional help.
• Restore and stabilize heart rhythm on pulseless, non-breathing patients.
• Monitor cardiac patients and manage IV fluids for medication or fluid replacement.
• Perform endotracheal intubation to secure airways and ventilation.
• Administer medications and drugs and document patient vitals and response.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and coordinate with hospital staff and other responders.
