Job summary

State of Wisconsin is seeking a Facilities Repair Worker Advanced for the Wisconsin Air National Guard 128th Air Refueling Wing at General Mitchell Air Base in Milwaukee. The role covers interior/exterior maintenance, repairs, and preventative work on building components, surfaces, and safety systems.

Starting pay is $23.69 per hour with a 12‑month probation. The work schedule is Monday‑Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a comprehensive benefits package and time off.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements of the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle Policy to drive a state vehicle.
• The ability to bend, twist, crawl, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior building, facility, and grounds maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect, install, adjust, modify, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on building components, paved surfaces, and safety systems.
• Operate and maintain maintenance vehicles and equipment year-round.

Skills

Driving State vehicle related policy

Lifting up to 75 pounds

Grounds maintenance experience

Remodeling/repair experience

Education
