Job summary

Milwaukee County is seeking an Airport Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance on roads, runways, taxiways, parking areas, buildings and fences, and to operate and maintain motorized equipment.

This position requires Wisconsin residency, a valid Wisconsin driver's license, a high school diploma or GED, and 2+ years of semi-skilled maintenance experience, with the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. FAA standards compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• Current resident of WI is required.
• Valid WI Driver’s License.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2 years of semi-skilled maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain motorized equipment including vans, trucks, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, graders, sweepers and snow removal equipment.
• Perform maintenance, repairs and improvements to Airport roads, grounds, airfield pavement and fence lines.
• Maintenance of buildings and fixtures at the Airport.
• Participate in training and train other maintenance personnel.
