This position assists in directing work for repair and replacement, selection, maintenance, and preservation of all Department-owned public and private facilities. It is accountable for rehabilitation projects and coordinating new construction projects and utility plans that meet state and local requirements with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience: Possession of a current Arkansas professional engineering license OR graduation from an EAC or ABET-approved civil engineering curriculum, or equivalent as judged by the Arkansas Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Experience in building construction, site investigation, basic surveying, and supervisory ability.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication across diverse educational backgrounds, ability to interpret Department policies, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Working Conditions: Occasional statewide travel.
Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications: Valid driver’s license. Engineer Intern certification.
