Job description

We are seeking to fill the position of Facility Engineer. In this role, you will lead the maintenance team, oversee repair and preventive maintenance, and ensure machinery reliability to support smooth manufacturing operations. Your efforts will enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by applying best practices, reducing downtime, and optimizing equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities include:
  1. Maintenance Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement maintenance plans, schedules, and reports using a CMMS to optimize equipment performance.
    • Coordinate reactive and preventative maintenance activities.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks and minimize downtime.
    • Manage equipment and infrastructure maintenance work.
    • Oversee contractors handling maintenance tasks.
  2. Continuous Improvement
    • Identify and implement process improvements in maintenance procedures.
    • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
    • Drive initiatives to increase OEE and reduce unplanned downtime.
  3. Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Use analytics tools, including CMMS, to assess equipment performance and identify improvements.
    • Generate reports on reliability, KPIs, and improvement recommendations.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment history.
  4. Environmental, Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and support safety initiatives.
    • Prepare and maintain compliance documentation.
  5. Training and Development
    • Provide training on equipment, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
    • Promote ongoing team development and stay updated on industry trends.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in maintenance and reliability engineering in manufacturing, with knowledge of boilers, steam systems, air compressors, HVAC, etc.
  • Understanding of preventive and reliability-centered maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical skills, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA standards, and regulatory requirements.
